Andrea will demonstrate how to make paper-plaster moulds that can be used for handbuilding and slipcasting
Andrea Vinkovic fell in love with clay 28 years ago, while on maternity leave with her daughter Emma, with whom she runs ClayMake Studio. Andrea combines a variety of techniques to make her work, be it handbuilding, wheel-work, slipcasting, or a combination of all three. To produce her large-scale sculptures Andrea frequently designs & makes her own moulds - she will be sharing her tips & tricks that she's learnt after much experimenting. Cat Conner - Altering Thrown Forms & Making Handles

Cat will demonstrate different ways of altering thrown forms, and how to make and attach great handles
Cat Conner - problem finder, problem maker, problem solver - has been working with clay for the last 20 years. Cat's work focuses on wheel-thrown functional ware with which she manipulates and decorates with meticulous care. Emma Vinkovic - Slipcasting & Carving Forms

Emma will demonstrate how to slipcast layers of colour, and then carving in her signature style
Emma Vinkovic has been around clay her whole life, and is one half of ClayMake Studio, which she started with her mum, Andrea. Her practise began with slipcast tableware, but has expanded to include handbuilding, sculpture & different decorating techniques such as carving, scraffito & mishima. Jessica McLeod - Decorating Techniques

Jessica will demonstrate her characteristic decorating techniques, focusing on painting underglaze, scraffito, and using wax resist
Jessica McLeod works in a variety of mediums from illustration, textiles, and comic books, all which feeds into and influences her clay work. Jessica's ceramics focuses on surface decoration, linework, and the tactile nature of ceramics. Megan Brandis - Throwing Marbled Clay

Megan will demonstrate how she uses different clays to create marbled, wheel-thrown pots
Megan Brandis discovered clay in 2015 and has not looked back since. Her work is heavily inspired by the stunning WA landscape, the varying colours of the earth surrounding the beaches and sky. Megan uses a variety of clay bodies to produce her distinctive marbled, wheel-thrown pots, each one unique and unrepeatable. Tracey Pinker - Large Scale Handbuilt Forms

Tracey will demostrate how she handbuilds large scale, organic vessels
Tracey Pinker uses a variety of handbuilding techniques to create earthy, textured, functional pieces. Tracey lets her instincts and her experience as an interior designer guide the form and direct the design. Tracey's work is large scale, tactile, and a celebration of clay as a material.
