Every part of this workshop is built around what you actually need as a teacher — from choosing the right clay to working with it confidently, managing the mess, meeting the curriculum, and making it look easy.
You'll make things with your hands AND leave with a full toolkit for bringing clay into your classroom — from storing and restoring clay, to firing (and what to do when you don't have a kiln), to keeping OHS simple and the chaos manageable.
We will give you creative project ideas and the skills to make them happen, as well as practical strategies how to keep clay time contained, clean-up fast, and your classroom looking like nothing happened.
This hands-on PD is suitable for teachers new to clay, as well as people with prior clay experience looking to expand their skill set.
