Botanical Beauty: Head & Bust Sculpture Workshop
with Dee Jaeger
In this fun, informative and engaging workshop you will learn how to create a whimsical female form and various sculpting and finishing techniques that will help you form unique and expressive sculpture. Using coil & hand building techniques, Dee will guide you through the essential skills to construct a generous size torso with a botanical twist; integrating shape, texture, & colour of our unique & stunning West Australian botanicals with the human vessel form.
Participants have the choice to leave the head open to allow the fired sculpture to be used as a functional planter or other utility.
This workshop is suitable for total beginners as well as those with previous experience who would like to hone in their skills.
Your sculpture will be bisque fired and you will have an option to come and glaze it at the later date if you wish to do so (glazing and glaze firing cost is not included in this workshop).
